Congressman
Bob McEwen served six years in the Ohio General Assembly before
first being elected to Congress in 1980. Re-elected five more
times, he ultimately served 12 years in the U.S. House of Representatives.
Congressman
McEwen was selected by his colleagues to two of the most coveted
positions in the U.S. Congress: the Select Committee on Intelligence
and the powerful House Rules Committees. As one of the only four
Republicans on the 13-person Rules Committee, he managed nearly
a third of all legislation on the House floor for the Republican
House leadership.

McEwen was the primary sponsor of the National Strategy Act, which
realigned the U.S. military chain of command during times of hostilities.
His legislation played a major role in the success of Operation
Desert Storm.

McEwen represented President Reagan and President Bush as a Special
Presidential Envoy. He also served as a U.S. Representative to
European Parliament in 1985-1993. Congressman McEwen and Senator
Bob Dole participated as official U.S. Observers in Poland for
the first parliamentary election of non-communist leader of a
Communist country. He also represented the United States as an
official observer in Moscow during the immediate aftermath of
the failed 1991 coup attempt against Soviet President Gorbachev,
and in 1992 for the ceremonies marking the formal dissolution
of the Soviet Union.

speaking and marketing. Congressman McEwen has appeared frequently
on such network programming as CNN's Crossfire, NBC's The
Today Show, ABC's Good Morning America, and CNN's
Larry King Live. He has been in high demand as a public speaker

from the University of Miami in 1972.
